A 'Lynn' to the 'Present'?

Usually a year or so after a console-based Zelda comes out, there is a lot of speculation as to what the next instalment in the series will have in store. A lot of ideas are tossed around by Nintendo fans e.g. maybe we'll get a space Zelda or a steam-punk Zelda or a near-future Zelda or maybe we'll be able to play as Zelda or Ganon in the next game. However, we always end up with a young male Link saving Princess Zelda from Ganon in a semi-medieval setting.

Anyway, I'm a fan of such speculation, so I decided to make some fan art combining my two favourite possible changes to the series we will probably never see: a female Link in a modern day setting. I've been shipping the idea for a while and probably have nearly a game's worth of story worked out.

This scene takes place in a basement of a church the protagonist, Lynn, volunteers at. Some bad stuff is about to go down upstairs and she'll need something to protect herself and the building's other occupants. You can probably guess what she is looking for.

Obviously, all of the Zelda series stuff is owned by Nintendo.
